I needed badly to escape from the usual and get away for the day.
Went down to Shenandoah national park on a bit of a photography adventure and this was the sunset I saw this evening.
The town of Luray can be glimpsed down in the valley
Edit: Updated! I reprocessed this image with a new HDR software I am trying out called oloneo and am very pleased with the results. I probably still went a bit overkill with the amount of frames used for this HDR, with 11, but I was concerned about the brightness of the sun. Same basic workflow as the original, just different techniques and software. HDR conversion in oloneo Photo Engine, curves adjustment in photoshop for color balance and contrast and again a photo filter applied for effect.
I think this new version procides a much more pleasing, inviting, warm image with better overall exposure. I have neglected the minor rotation I did in the last on as I feel it was not necessary and left a little more detail at the bottom with the crop this time. I think overall its a more balanced and pleasing image, hope you agree, let me know!
Edit 2: Small update to correct some technical flaws... I can describe more to anyone interested.
