An image from my WV trip back at the beginning of June. Woke up quite early to head down to Bear Rocks at Dolly Sods to capture the sunrise.
In what appeared to just be my luck that weekend, I was greeted with ok light. Ok, but not great. I was hoping as well for some fog down in the valley, but was again greeted with mostly mist. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, I began to shoot anyways and snapped off a bunch of images and have been rather happy with the results.
Processing on the images from that morning has proven rather difficult though. The color palette offered by this place is very difficult to translate into an image and I have found my images from that morning just looking a bit off in terms of color. I will probably continue to attempt to process a few more of these as I have a bunch with the sun below the clouds illuminating the mist in the valley to a wonderful shade of pink.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactHello,
I too have tended to go "heavy" on the saturation in my own photos but I like it and I like it in this photo. I like the colors in the trees, and there is just enough orange to add interest. I llike colors captured in the rocks in the foreground. I like that you captured the mist over the hills. I agree the composition and angle of the shot is great it is a nice view over the horizon. I love this piece, I am not sure where this place is but you photo makes me want to visit and possible bring a sack lunch and stay for an afternoon, Great Job
