Rainy day? The forecast called for rain all day. Well I guess the weather in New Zealand has a tendency to be either very localized or can change very quickly.
We were driving from Wanaka to Queenstown, and it was pouring rain when we left. The forecast said that was going to continue all day. We were prepared for the worst. After about an hour, maybe hour and a half we saw a break in the clouds and thought maybe the weather will change. Then as we entered another small valley the clouds began to part a little more and I saw the end of a rainbow. We rounded a curve and were greeted with this amazing scene.
A full rainbow stretching across the valley. Clouds fading off to the distance barely rising above the surface of the mountains. In short, it was quite a sight. The sky and clouds did not disappoint for the rest of the day.
